Bela Lugosi drinks liquid oxygen while fighting off the Commies in Congress!
In this collection..
The UN condemns China for being an agressor. Nice footage of the 1950's UN is shown as they vote.
Ike goes to Europe in the next segment to get support from the Europeans for the war against Communism. Quite interesting, especially if you compare it to the more recent 'war'. Anyways, the trip is successful, everyone (except the Italians, those fascists!) likes Ike.
A variety of Air clips are shown next. We first get a glimpse of new russian planes, they're almost as fast as thr US ones! uh oh! After this, battle footage is shown with the planes as they shoot korean planes out of the sky! yay!
Next, the US Congress opens for a brand new session. Very interesting segment, as we see some congressmen new and old, some familiar and not, including LBJ.
Next one crazy doctor plays around with liquid oxygen, drinking it (very good idea) making rubber tubing solid, and of course making explosives out of it, nearly setting some of his students on fire! Good grief.
2 great sporting features are shown next. First, skiiers (and a dog) on Mount hood are shown boarding this massive bus like tram to get to the top of Mount hood. Not really a gondola, the thing looks like a bus. It's funny watching the wires reel from the weight of this thing. After that, a great boat race is shown, where single boats are shown flying through the air and sea. Totally alarming footage. lol
Finally an actor playing Abraham Lincoln (but looking a lot like Bela Lugosi) narrates the Gettysburg address. Meh.
Pretty Up and Down collection this time.
